Rates rebate renewal period

​THE Municipality has issued rates rebate renewal letters to senior residents, the medically boarded, people with disabilities and child-headed households.

The forms need to be signed, commissioned and returned to the Municipality by 30 April 2019.

Residents are to note the following:

  • There is no charge for sub-mitting these forms;
  • No Municipal employees will be visiting customers in their homes for this pro-cess, unless a prior request was made due to medical and or other condition;
  • Customers should insist on being issued with a signed and stamped acknowledg-ment of receipt as proof of submission;
  • Rates rebates will lapse on 30 June 2019 for customers who do not respond by 30 April 2019.
