Municipality Promotes Arts and Culture

As part of its mandate to promote and cultivate local artists, cultural development and preserve the cultural heritage of the City, the Municipality will be hosting a range of activities that are aimed at developing the Arts Industry within the Municipality. One of the ways the Municipality aims to execute the above is to create new and/or developing stages so that the local artists receive the much-needed exposure and media attention. These regular stages will also assist the local artists to perfect their craft and creativity whilst ensuring high performance rotation.

The Municipality believes that these will serve as platforms to boost the economic value of the artists and ensure economic sustainability over a long period of time.
