Thunderstorms Expected To Hit Durban Tonight
 
The eThekwini Municipality Disaster Management teams are on standby to respond to any disaster that may be resultant to severe thunderstorms and rough seas forecast by the South African Weather Services (SAWS). Residents are urged to exercise extra caution more especially in the event of being caught outdoors.
 
EThekwini City Manager, Sipho Nzuza says the municipality is not taking any chances and every warning from the SAWS will always be taken seriously.
 
“Our disaster management teams are well equipped to deal with any disaster within the city. But we need our communities to work with us by heeding our warnings at all times. We are now right in the middle of the summer season and all of us are fully aware how prone our city is to disasters emanating from bad weather at this time of the year.”
