Road Closures - March Supporting Former President Jacob Zuma
The Durban Metropolitan Police Services is calling for motorists to plan their routes carefully, ahead of the planned march by former President Jacob Zuma’s supporters tomorrow, 6 April 2018.
The march is expected to begin at King Dinizulu Park at 08h00, proceeding east along Dr Pixley KaSeme (West) Street, turning right into Yusuf Dadoo (Grey) Street, and left into Margaret Mncadi Avenue (Victoria Embankment) where participants will use the grassed area directly opposite the High Court.
Metro police Spokesman, Parboo Sewpersad said, “We appeal to motorists to plan their routes carefully for tomorrow and to practice patience in the expected traffic congestion. Motorists should also find alternative routes where possible and stay away from the High Court precinct, ie. the entrance and exit of the Nkosi Albert Luthuli Freeway ( M4 Southern Freeway), Joseph Ndluli (Russell) Street and Margaret Mncadi Avenue.”
Metro Police will be on hand to assist motorists, divert traffic and ensure the safety of all road users.
