Refuse Colllection Continues In Umlazi

UMlazi residents are encouraged to start leaving out their refuse bags for collection as City refuse trucks continue with waste collections.

However, due to massive accumulation of uncollected bags, the collection will take a while to reach some affected areas. The City asks that all uMlazi residents be patient as trucks will be collecting in due time.

Refuse collection resumed last week, after recent disruptions were caused by a group of people that were threatening contractors servicing the area.

The City is working around the clock to ensure that areas are serviced and the service returns to normal.

The Municipality will continue to engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to residents by the non-collection of refuse.
