The South Durban Basin Area Based Management will be partnering with various Municipal Departments for a Beach Clean-up Campaign as part of its Environmental Awareness Programme.

The aim of the beach clean-up is to encourage the community, learners and other stakeholders in the South Durban Basin to take responsibility for their surroundings and environment. It strives to change behavior and alter the mindsets of the community and encourage partnership in such programmes.

Educational talks will be conducted by the Durban Solid Waste, the Health Unit, C.R.O.W. and the Glass Recycle Company. The campaign
