Mayor To Visit Springboks Training

The eThekwini Mayor, Councillor James Nxumalo calls on Durbanites to rally behind the Springboks as they prepare for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Nxumalo will tomorrow, 21 August 2015 visit the Springboks at Moses Mabhida Stadium during their training session at 13h00.

“I urge the people of eThekwini to join me at Amabhokobhoko training session tomorrow afternoon, 21/08/15. Let us show our undying support for them. We don’t want the recent hurdles to deter them from showcasing their tenacious and never say die spirit that we have witnessed in numerous occasions. When Springboks board the plane to England, they must know that the people of Durban are behind them and they must remember our undying support and our million voices cheering them on,” said Nxumalo.

The 2015 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to take place from 18 September to 31 October in England. The Springboks are in Pool B pitted against Samoa, Scotland, Japan and the United States. Their first game is on 19 September against Japan at Brighton Community Stadium and will be live on SuperSport 1 (SS1) at 17h45.
