Mayor Spreads Love and Kindness at a Local School for Leaners Living With Disabilies
 
In the spirit of love, Mayor of eThekwini Municipality, Councillor Zandile Gumede, will be spending her Valentine’s Day with learners from Mason Lincoln Special School (Emalandeni) in uMlazi, South of Durban.
 
“As a mother and a Mayor, I believe that we should embrace our unique attributes and on days such as Valentine’s Day, we should show love, tolerance and peace in our communities which is in line with our vision of being the most caring and liveable City in Africa,” said Mayor Gumede.
 
This event follows today’s event that was held at Chesterville Secondary where the Mayor handed out more than 5000 packs of sanitary towels to girls at the school. This weekend, Mayor Gumede will be hosting widows from eThekwini Municipality in line with her philosophy of building a caring City.
