Human Rights Seminar and Dialogue
EThekwini Municipality in partnership with the National Department of Arts and Culture and Tongaat SAPS will host the Human Rights Seminar & Dialogue. This is an educational program based on the historical incident, the Sharpeville massacre of 1960.
The seminar will give attention to social issues such as xenophobia and racism, which may be seen as the denial of human rights in a democratic society. The seminar will also touch on the aspect of social cohesion in order to build a cohesive society.
Leading the discussions will be; Benjamin Ntombela who will speak on Human Rights vs Responsibility; Colonel Dingindawo Msomi on the Rule of Law; Wandi Nzimande on the Judicial System and Gugu Mthombeni who will address the topic on Social Disorder and Moral Degeneration.
