Exhibition Space Sold Out For North Regional Business Fair
EThekwini Municipality’s North Regional Business Fair, set to take place at Bridge City Shopping Centre in KwaMashu from 19-21 June 2015 has been a sell-out success with over 100 exhibitors taking up the exhibition space.
All exhibition spaces have been sold out a month before the Fair proving that it is the biggest and most relevant district business exhibition for small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs).
Deputy Mayor and Chairperson of the Economic Development Committee Nomvuzo Shabalala said the programme is an instrumental vehicle that drives the development and growth of SMMEs.
Shabalala said the growing interest from SMMEs and early registration was pleasing as it allows more time for proper planning.
“The City has invested millions of rand towards the development of SMMEs and the focus now is to bring more established and experienced entrepreneurs to Regional Fair that will inspire emerging businesses and introduce them to other available opportunities,” said Shabalala.
Shabalala said the City is confident that our efforts to stimulate meaningful engagements between established and emerging entrepreneurs will be effective will lead to possible collaboration of businesses and growth.
“The process has started to yield positive results as a Durban based prominent business woman in the construction sector has committed herself to assist and finance two promising small business owners that attended the Harmmarsdale Regional Business Fair held in April,” added Shabalala.
However, it is not end of the road for those who wish to showcase their products as exhibition space is still available for the last regional business fair to be held in the West at Clermont Sports Auditorium from 26-28 June 2015.
