Essence Festival Durban Celebrates Local Young Talent
As part of the countdown to the Essence Festival Durban happening from 8 to 13 November, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Fawzia Peer, accompanied by well-known local artists, will be at the City’s Lunch Hour Concert on Friday, 14 October, to promote the upcoming festival.
Artists who are part of the festival, including; DJ Tira, Big NUZ, Phuzekhemisi, Nduduzo Makhathini and many more will be part of the activation and give information about what patrons can look forward to during the festival. There will be ticket giveaways, an autograph signing session, as well as other exciting activities to garner support and create public awareness about the festival.
The countdown will be hosted under the banner of the eThekwini’s bi-weekly lunch hour concerts known as the rhythm of the City, which is a platform offered by the Municipality to promote local upcoming artists.
Members of the media are invited to be part of the activation.
