SUMMIT TO DISCUSS SPORTS DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY
 
EThekwini Municipality’s Sports Development and Recreation Department will host a one-day sports summit aimed at looking at strategies of how sports development can be improved in the City, for the benefit of all citizens.
 
This one day summit will see influential leaders share insights and spark discussions that will shape the future of sports in the City. The Municipality will lead the discussion by tabling its proposed five-year sport development plan. Representatives from various sports federations will have an opportunity to discuss the proposed plan and make input.
 
The Summit panel will be made up of the Chairperson of the Community Emergency Services Committee, Councillor Zandile Gumede, Deputy City Manager: Community and Emergency Services Cluster Dr Musa Gumede, Department of Sport and Recreation South Africa Chief Director Onke Mjo and the Head of Parks Recreation and Culture Unit, Thembinkosi Ngcobo.
 
Members of the media are invited to be part of the summit.
