EThekwini Residents get Their Turn to Engage Government on Service Delivery
To ensure improved service delivery to all citizens, more especially to those living in rural communities, Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Faith Muthambi together with Mayor Zandile Gumede will on Friday, 12 May 2017, meet the communities of Ward 105 to assess service delivery and governance in public institutions in the area.
During the visit, Minister Muthambi and Mayor Gumede will officially launch uMnini Thusong Community Service Centre, a government initiative that forms part of the broader national presidential programme that seeks to provide a One Stop Shop facility for various local and provincial government services.
Minister Muthambi and Mayor Gumede will interact with frontline public servants at service delivery points to determine the state of service delivery and working conditions in order to assist them to do their work better and in line with the ethos of Batho Pele Principles.
