EThekwini Municipality Expands Soup Kitchen Programme

EThekwini Municipality is expanding its soup kitchen programme from 36 to 54 kitchens across the different wards. 

The Municipality aims to establish a soup kitchen programme in every ward of the City, in order to address the nutritional needs of destitute residents who would otherwise go hungry.

The impact of this programme is immense as it benefits approximately 16 000 beneficiaries per day. A substantially high number of these beneficiaries are on chronic medication. 

Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the launch of the soup kitchen programme.
