EThekwini Mayor to Lead Easter Road Safety Awareness Campaign
Mayor Zandile Gumede will tomorrow, 29 March 2018, lead the City’s Road Safety Awareness Campaign.
As part of the Easter Road Safety awareness campaign, Mayor Gumede will interact with motorists, taxi drivers, pedestrians about safety on the road and also lead the joint law enforcement operation.
The City’s Easter Road Safety awareness aims at reducing the high number of road traffic crashes recorded in the previous years.
Tomorrow’s procession will include an awareness raising motorcade which will be moving around the City centre focusing on long-distance public transport ranks. The motorcade will be encouraging citizens to prioritise road safety.
