For Immediate Release;
Deserving Family To Receive A House Built Through Alternative Technology MEC of Human Settlements, Mr Ravi Pillay accompanied by Mayor James Nxumalo will tomorrow, 09 May 2015 hand over a fully-furnished house to the Mbatha family in Malukazi. This is part of government’s commitment to improve the lives of all South Africans.
The beneficiary of the house is a mother of nine children who was previously residing in a dilapidated shack infested with rats.
A newly constructed house has been built through the partnership between government and a private contractor. The house is one of its kind since it was built by alternative housing method.
This achievement is a testimony of how working together can create a caring society that is committed to restore the dignity of all South Africans.
