Clairwood Clean-up and Enforcement Operation

Members of the media are invited to attend a Clean-up and Enforcement operation held by the SDB ABM and other service units (Metro police/SAPS/Home Affairs, Business Licensing, Business Support, Land Use Management Enforcement, Health, Fire, Building Inspectorate, Town Planning, Roads and Storm Water, Parks, DSW and Environmental Department). It is aimed at keeping the area clean and healthy so all residents can live in a conducive environment.

Targeted areas are: Flower Rd, Horseshoe, Jacobs Rd and as well as Dayal Rd where most of the complaints emanated. Activities to be undertaken are: 
  • Removal of stones, rubble and sand in the identified areas.
  • Clearing of all storm water drains.
  • Cutting of grass and trimming trees.
  • Educating residents and business on proper refuse disposal.
  • Enforcement of Municipal Bylaws with regards to Health, Business Licensing, Metro Police and others
