City Addressing Minor Technical Glitches With New Electricity Vending System 

EThekwini Municipality urges all customers who are experiencing difficulty loading electricity into their prepaid meters to visit their nearest Municipal customer services centre where they will be registered temporarily. 

The City’s Electricity Unit is currently implementing a new vending system and during the implementation phase some electricity meters did not appear on the Municipality’s database. 

In cases where the meter does not appear on the database, the affected customer cannot load electricity into their electricity meter.

Customers who are experiencing problems with their prepaid meters will be requested to leave their contact details at the Municipal customer service centre and they will be assisted. 

The Municipality is working on resolving the matter as soon as possible.
