Call for Businesses to Register for South Regional Business Fair

EThekwini Municipality is inviting interested businesses to register to participate in the South Regional Business Fair.

The Regional Fair, scheduled to take place on 13 – 15 May 2016 at KwaMnyandu Shopping Centre in Umlazi, provides a platform for small and big businesses in previously disadvantaged areas to showcase their products to the public and to potential buyers.

Mayor James Nxumalo said events such as the Business Fair are particularly valuable because they create space for different skills to come together and bring solutions to business challenges.

“As the Municipality we are very proud to have established this programme which has benefited a number of entrepreneurs, particularly small in businesses, by growing their trades. This initiative has opened doors for a number of businesses to become more sustainable and be able to generate income,” said Nxumalo.

During the Regional Business Fairs, participants have the opportunity to attend seminars to advance their business knowledge. They are able to network as businesses to gain more insight on ways to sustain their work even during the economic turbulence.

This year’s Regional Business Fair will not only allow small businesses to exhibit their products but will also inform businesses on various economic activities that are taking place in the South Region.

Businesses that are interested to participate are invited to register. Registration forms are now available at Business Support, Tourism & Markets Unit.
